Who needs a takeaway when you can make your own? Residents of Almond Court Care Home in Drumpchapel topped off their week by making their own pizzas.
With the wet weather looking like it’s here to stay, residents of the care home avoided the cold and spent a cosy afternoon indoors, making homemade pizza's!
Equipped with enough dough to feed an army and plenty of tasty toppings, the residents rolled out their pizza dough and spread their bases with tomato purée, before scattering on the cheese and choosing their favourite toppings from the selection.
Once cooked and cooled and with the scent of freshly cooked pizza in the air, the residents were very excited to tuck into their delicious creations for their tea, which they all thoroughly enjoyed!
Lorna Flanagan, Service Manager of Almond Court commented: “The residents had a brilliant afternoon making their own pizzas, they could be as adventurous as they wanted to with the variety of toppings that were on offer. Of course, they enjoyed eating them just as much as they enjoyed making them!”
