Beechwood Care Home recently held a cupcake and chat party in their Holdsworth dining room for residents, staff and relatives on Tuesday 30th May, to support Dementia Awareness Week.
Helen the Activity Coordinator within the home baked some lovely cupcakes which went down a treat with everyone, she also made a special effort to decorate the room in the Alzheimer's Scotland colours, with Lorna and Beau from the local Alzheimer's office in Motherwell.
They also provided balloons, flags and other merchandise to hand out and help spread awareness around the condition. It’s thanks to the many supporters of the charity that they are able to raise vital funds to take on dementia and reach so many people across the UK.
