Stephen Duffy a cook at Larkfield View care home, has raised over £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support by having his hair shaved off.

Stephen signed up to the charity’s ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign after his Nan was taken by cancer some years ago.

'Brave the Shave' encourages individuals to stand proudly alongside men, women and children with cancer by encouraging people to shave their hair in aid of the charity.

Stephen braved the shave on the 31st August 2017 and had his hair cut off in Larkfield View care home where he works.

Stephen said “I braved the shave to raise money for a cause that’s close to my heart. I lost my Nana to cancer 5 years ago and wanted to raise money for this great cause to help others”.

Elsie MacLennan, Service Manager of Larkfield View said, “We’re proud of the sum Brave Shaver Stephen has raised and are delighted the money will go towards a charity that offers essential support in every area of life to cancer sufferers.”
