Residents at Finavon Court Care Home in Glenrothes have received an extraordinary burst of encouragement after celebrity fitness icon Mr Motivator surprised them with a personalised video message praising their dedication to daily exercise.
The home’s Activities Co-ordinator, Lisa Hogan, has been running morning Wake Up Shake Up sessions to support wellbeing, mobility, and social connection for seven months. Looking for new ways to inspire residents, she began incorporating Mr Motivator’s online exercise routines and the impact has been remarkable.
Residents have been eagerly getting up to take part each day, reporting reduced stiffness, better mood, and even improved sleep thanks to the increased movement. The classes have also become a joyful social highlight of the morning.
Adding extra fun to the sessions is the group’s cheerful mascot, William the Bear, who takes part fully dressed as Mr Motivator himself, complete with trademark leotard and hair, and has quickly become a favourite among residents.
