Residents and staff of Beechwood Care Home were delighted to receive their trophies earlier this week from their coach, Mark, marking the culmination of months of enthusiasm, teamwork and friendly competition. 

Individual achievements were also recognised, with Sheila and Jackie both awarded Player of the Year for their commitment and skill. John proudly accepted the overall league trophy on behalf of Team Beechwood, reflecting the collective effort of everyone involved.

Beechwood runs two Fit-Baw sessions every Tuesday, one supporting residents from the Holdsworth and Beltane units, and another for those living in the George and Sefton units. These regular sessions form part of the home’s wider commitment to meaningful activity, physical wellbeing and creating shared experiences that bring residents together.

The success in this year’s league highlights not only sporting ability but also the strong sense of community within Beechwood. The Fit-Baw programme continues to play an important role in enriching lives, encouraging movement, confidence and connection among residents.

Everyone at Beechwood Care Home is immensely proud of Team Beechwood’s achievement and congratulates all residents who took part for their hard work, commitment and team spirit throughout the season.
